Living in a place steeped in History, we wanted to celebrate each other for our talents and contributions to revitalizing our local communities.
Tanasi was a historic Overhill Settlement site in Present-day Monroe County, Tennessee. The village became the namesake for the state of Tennessee. It was abandoned by the Cherokee in the 19th century for a rising town whose chief was more powerful. Tanasi served as the actual capital of the Overhill Cherokee from as early as 1721 until 1730 when the capital shifted to Great Tellico.
Historically Southern, homes were known for their front porches: a place to cool off, enjoy the hospitality of a stranger or neighbor and even conduct business.
Tanasi Front Porch appreciates the stories told in the artisanship of the local entrepreneur.
Our front porch invites you to " drop by, sit a spell and listen in".
We hope you enjoy our front porch.
